Tolerance

A range beyond the stated performance threshold within which product performance is considered acceptable. DLC tolerances are intended to take into account variation in both product manufacturing consistency, including component performance variation, as well as testing uncertainty. Test values that fall below any tolerances are not considered acceptable for qualification, as serve as a hard threshold. Tolerances cannot be applied to reported data.
