The DLC is pleased to announce the draft release of a new policy to accept and display product images on the Solid-State Lighting Qualified Products List (SSL QPL), entitled “Requirements for Submitting SSL Product Images.” The DLC intends to begin accepting SSL product images by Q1 2024.
The DLC will accept comments on the proposed requirements during a single 2-week public comment period, from August 18 – 31, 2023.Please submit all comments using the SSL Product Image Comment Form linked below to comments@designlights.org. Comments are due by Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Why Product Images?
The Solid-State Lighting Qualified Products List (SSL QPL) is a valuable reference tool for energy efficiency programs to verify that lighting products are eligible for rebates. To assist in this process, the DLC will begin accepting and displaying product images that correspond with product listings, allowing reviewers to cross-reference product specification sheets with QPL listings more easily.
Submitting Images:
Submitting a product image to include in a QPL listing will be optional. To support manufacturers who list their products on the SSL QPL, there will be no fee to submit product images.
A high-level overview of the image submission process can be found at the bottom of the draft policy. Complete instructions for the image submission process will be provided when the DLC begins accepting images.
Please submit comment forms to comments@designlights.org by close of business, Thursday, August 31. We look forward to engaging with you to increase the value of the SSL QPL.
