By updating the Technical Requirements for DLC-listed Horticulture lighting products, we are improving the efficacy and quality of LEDs used for controlled environment agriculture (CEA). Accelerating energy efficient lighting in this growing sector will result in lower costs, energy use, and carbon emissions.Manufacturers, utilities, testing labs, and regulators should note the three key updates in Hort V4.0:
Increasing the photosynthetic photon efficacy (PPE) threshold
Removal of lamps as a category eligible for the QPL
Clarifications to various requirements throughout the new policy
