We collaborate with a wide variety of commercial lighting players to create comprehensive criteria for lighting performance that keeps up with the pace of technology. Ways to Get Involved

For the last ten years we’ve adapted to the rapidly-changing and evolving needs of the commercial lighting industry, in big part because of the support and input we receive through consortium activities. Whether you represent energy efficiency programs, regulatory bodies, manufacturers, test labs, lighting designers, distributors, trade allies, horticultural growers, or someone else with an interest in commercial lighting we encourage you to join us! Diverse perspectives result in creative problem solving and comprehensive solutions.

    Website visitors are encouraged to create a MyDLC account to customize your DLC experience. Through your MyDLC dashboard you’ll have direct access to content relevant to your needs.

    Anyone may subscribe to receive email updates to stay connected with the DLC. You will periodically get information on revisions to Technical Requirements and timelines, upcoming events, and relevant news.

    Feedback is welcomed from a wide variety of people to ensure that enhancements to the Technical Requirements serve the needs and interests of all users. Please join our webinars where proposed changes are introduced and review the draft policies so you can submit feedback via comment forms.

  • Submit products for qualification

    Submit products for qualification

    LED and controls manufacturers may submit products for qualification. Submissions go through a rigorous application process to ensure products meet or exceed the minimum requirements outlined in the current Technical Requirements. Qualified systems then get listed on the corresponding Qualified Products Lists (QPLs) making them eligible for rebates.

    Any person looking for high performing, energy-saving solid-state lighting, horticultural LEDs, and control systems can search the DLC Qualified Products Lists (QPLs).

Utility or energy efficiency program? Become a Member.

DLC Members are utility energy efficiency programs and regional energy efficiency organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our Members are integral to the success of the DLC’s mission: to achieve energy optimization by enabling interconnected solutions with a focus on quality for people and the environment. Together, our Members create a collective force of expertise providing insight into DLC policy and specification development on topics such as quality, performance, and energy efficiency to drive lighting market transformation.
