The DLC will update the new Technical Requirements periodically, and each update will be recorded in the document in Part VIII: Policy Clarifications and Updates in Table 40: SSL V6.0 and LUNA V2.0 Technical Requirement Corrections and Clarifications.
This page is a resource hub. We will post some clarifications here when we want to communicate an update between revisions of the full document. The most recent clarifications will appear first.

Regarding Additional Requirements for LM-79, LM-80, and TM-21 Test Reports: ANSI/IES LM-79 (-19 and -24 Versions)
Section 27.2 of the SSL V6.0 Technical Requirements specified that a candela array must be present within the PDF distribution report. To allow for labs that have not adjusted reporting systems or appreciated this change in the requirements, we are providing a six-month extension on the candela array reporting requirement within the PDF distribution reports.
Starting July 5, 2026, applications submitted will be evaluated against this requirement and will not be approved unless reports have the candela array. Applications submitted prior to this date will not be evaluated against this requirement.

Note: This update will be incorporated into the Controls Options Table Guidance document and the Manufacturer Guidance document.
Update: Review Process for Twistlock Receptacles
The DLC has recently clarified its review process for products containing twistlock receptacles. As noted in the DLC Technical Requirements, products containing 3-pin twistlock receptacles are not eligible for listing. However, the DLC recognizes that twistlock receptacles may appear in a variety of product configurations.
To ensure consistent review and maintain the integrity of the Qualified Products List (QPL), all twistlock receptacles shown in Controls Options Tables or on specification sheets will now be assumed to be 3-pin twistlock receptacles unless otherwise indicated.
A product containing a 3-pin twistlock receptacle may still be eligible for DLC listing only if the product also includes an integral sensor. In these cases, the product will be assigned a controls category based on the capabilities of the integral sensor, rather than the twistlock receptacle.
Additional updates will be added above this one in the future.
