The Final Technical Requirements for Solid State Lighting Version 6.0 (SSL V6.0) and LUNA V2.0 will be released on November 3, 2025. This major update entails significant changes from the current SSL V5.1 Technical Requirements and combines all supplementary SSL technical requirements previously published documents, as well as major updates to the LUNA technical requirements. Among the changes are higher efficacy thresholds, new product categories, and a greater focus on controllability.

In this webinar, we reviewed the major changes to the technical requirements from SSL V5.1 and LUNA V1.0 focusing on changes from the SSL V6.0 and LUNA V2.0 draft 2 proposals and included time for an open Q&A session. We also reviewed the timeline for submitting applications to prevent products from being delisted, but this webinar focused on the technical requirements themselves and did not include guidance on the application process or information on any fee structure revisions.
