Before You Apply

Before you get started please note:

If your product fits such an Energy Star category, DO NOT submit data and apply to be eligible for the DesignLights™ Consortium Qualification Products List; rather proceed with the ENERGY STAR process ENERGY STAR for SSL. Please refer to your local utility company’s Program Administrator for use of their program.

1) Make sure you have the following information ready to upload:

I. Manufacturers’ Product Sheet
II. Test data from approved labs (specified in DOE Manufacturers' Guide)

• LM-79 Test Report containing
  --light output and efficacy data
  --color data (CCT and CRI) attached
  --electrical data (Input Voltage, Input Current, Power, Power Factor)
• IES photometrics file
  

DLC IS CURRENTLY RE-EVALUATING ITS LIFETIME REQUIREMENTS FURTHER NOTIFICATION WILL FOLLOW IN THE COMMING DAYS

2) Upload these additional files for Lifetime (Lumen Maintenance)

One of the following four attachments is required:

• Lifetime determination statement (if necessary)
• For Lifetime determine without LM-80 data: Alternative Lumen Maintenance Test Report
• For lifetime determined by Option 1: LED package LM-80 Test Report  
• For lifetime determined by Option 2: Luminaire LM-79 Test Reports

3) Make sure to rename these files

Naming of the attached files needs to follow the rules set forth below to help us identify the files and process them as quickly as possible.

	Document	File Naming Convention
I.	Product Sheet	2a_ProductSheet.pdf
II.	Luminaire’s LM-79 reports LM-79 report for intensity distribution LM-79 report for light output and color measurement	3a_LM79_Intensity.pdf 3b_LM79_Color.pdf If more LM-79 reports are attached, use 3c_LM79.pdf, 3d_LM79.pdf, etc.
V.	IES file according to LM-63 format	6a_IES.ies
